A law firm in Hackensack, NJ is seeking an experienced Family Law Attorney with over 8 years of practice in the field. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong background in representing clients in New York and New Jersey across various family law matters. They should excel in managing a busy caseload, drafting legal documents, and advocating for clients in mediations, hearings, and trials.Duties:
Represent clients in a diverse range of family law matters including separation, divorce, custody disputes, spousal and child support, and marital property issues.Efficiently manage a busy family law caseload, ensuring timely and effective resolution of cases.Prepare and draft various legal documents such as discovery requests, motions, and briefs, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal requirements.Attend mediations, hearings, and trials to advocate for clients' interests and achieve favorable outcomes.Ability to handle a high volume of cases while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.Prefer candidates with 1st chair trial experience.Manage active family law matters while contributing to the growth of the firm's clientele.Requirements:
8+ years of experience practicing family law.Proven track record of representing clients in New York and New Jersey.Licensed to practice law in both New York and New Jersey.Prefer candidates with a small book of business.Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:
Active license to practice law in New Jersey.Skills:
Strong litigation skills with experience in mediations, hearings, and trials.Exceptional legal writing and research abilities.Ability to efficiently manage a heavy caseload.Excellent negotiation and communication skills.Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Business development skills to contribute to the firm's growth.
