A law firm in Lakeland, FL, is seeking a dedicated Associate Litigation Attorney to assist in a busy family law practice. The ideal candidate will have experience in family law and, preferably, be admitted to the Florida Bar. Assist in representing clients in family law matters, including divorce, child custody, child support, and property division.Prepare and draft legal documents such as petitions, motions, and settlement agreements.Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies and client representation.Attend court hearings, mediations, and depositions as needed.Negotiate settlements and provide legal advice to clients on family law issues.Collaborate with senior attorneys and other legal professionals in the firm.Maintain accurate and organized case files and ensure timely completion of tasks and deadlines.Requirements
Experience in family law is preferred.Admission to the Florida Bar is preferred but not required.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to handle a high caseload and work in a fast-paced environment.Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.Education
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications
Admission to the Florida Bar is preferred.Skills
Proficiency in family law legal research and writing.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines.Excellent client-relations skills and professionalism.Familiarity with case management software and legal research tools.
