A law firm in Charleston, SC, is seeking a Real Estate Closing Attorney to oversee residential and commercial real estate transactions, ensuring legal compliance and client satisfaction.Duties:Oversee residential and commercial real estate transactions, including sales and refinancesReview title documents for accuracy and legal complianceCollaborate with lenders, brokers, agents, buyers, and sellers to facilitate transactionsDraft and review loan documents, contracts, deeds, leases, and purchase and sale agreementsProvide professional and engaging client experiences, addressing questions or concerns promptlyReview disbursement ledger and sign checks as necessaryDevelop and cultivate business relationships to expand the firm's clienteleConduct training sessions for potential clients on relevant areas of real estate lawRequirements:Member of the South Carolina State Bar in good standingExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to collaborate effectively with clients and stakeholdersStrong work ethic demonstrated in academics and work historyPreferably have experience in closing real estate transactions; residential real estate experience is preferredEducation:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law schoolCertifications:Member of the South Carolina State Bar in good standingSkills:Proficiency in real estate law and transactionsAttention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectivelyExcellent interpersonal skills for client interactionsProficiency in legal research and drafting documents
