A Japanese food company is hiring a sales representative.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Builds and maintains a network of sources from which to identify new sales opportunities.Communicates with customers and potential customers to identify and understand their product or service needs; identifies and promotes products and services to meet those needs.Communicates with sales manager to set prices and sales margins.Communicates with sales manager to set credit terms for each customer.Develops a thorough knowledge of products.Explains the quality and uses of products to customers based on their needs.Ensures customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolves any issues that may arise post-sale.Maintains communication with existing and previous customers, alerting them of new products that may be of interest.Monitors accounts receivable and collects payments from customers as needed.Maintains detailed reports of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship problems.Delivers products to customers as needed.Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.Excellent sales and negotiation skills.Excellent organizational skills, reliability, and attention to detail.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.Ability to learn SeaSoft system.Must be bilingual in Japanese (Native level) and English (Business Level).
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales, Business, or related field OR at least three years of related experience required.Satisfactory background investigation report.Valid driver's license issued by the state of employment or current residence.Three years satisfactory driving record.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to drive for extended periods.Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
