Placement on the adjunct faculty salary schedule is based upon education and credited experience. Pending any course assignment, initial placement can range as follows: Lab Course - $75.48 up to $103.03 per hour. Lecture Course - $87.88 up to $118.85.Position Type:

The Position:The Colleges seek a part-time faculty member in Esports. This position is a 'pool' position meaning that openings may or may not be currently available. Your application for this position will be kept current for a period of two years.

Duties and Responsibilities:Directs all aspects, areas, and components of the esports team.Organizes, prepares, and conducts individual and team practices, training, and competition to improve player performance.Recruits student-athletes through scouting and attending events.Represents the sports program to various institutional programs and externally as appropriate.Oversees audio and visual equipment usage; assists users with set-up and operation of equipment.Maintains currency of knowledge with respect to relevant state-of-the-art technology, equipment, and/or systems.Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.Develop and implement a training program to improve player performance.Provide feedback and guidance for individuals and teams.Build team dynamics.

Minimum Qualifications:Possession of any bachelor's degree or higher and two years of professional experience OR any associate degree and six years of professional experience OR the equivalent.Demonstrated cultural competence, sensitivity to, and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, ethnic, neurodivergent, and LGBTQIA+ backgrounds of community college students, faculty, and staff.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Demonstrated excellent leadership and communication skills.Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.Ability to foster an open and welcoming environment for all student-athletes.Thorough working knowledge and understanding of all aspects of the sport.Knowledge of current and developing trends in esports technology, methodology, and techniques.Ability to effectively analyze programs and events and recommend opportunities for improvement and growth.Ability to make effective thoughtful decisions and to develop strategic understanding in players.Analyzing past games and providing effective feedback to the team.

Preferred Qualifications:Possession of a Master's or above in kinesiology, physical education, exercise science, education with an emphasis in physical education, kinesiology, physiology of exercise, or adaptive physical education OR Bachelor's in any of the above AND Master's or above in any life science, dance, physiology, health education, recreation administration, or physical therapy OR the equivalent.
