Job Description - Pathology- Assistant/ Associate/Professor (24000001JS)The Department of Pathology at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis offers an outstanding opportunity for an academic pediatric pathologist. This is a full-time, non-tenure-track position (rank to be determined by credentials and experience).The Pathology Department, with its primary and affiliated faculty, serves multiple institutions including Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital, Regional One Medical Center, and the Veterans Administration Hospital. The responsibilities of this position include the following:The primary clinical duties encompass pediatric anatomic pathology sign out, intraoperative consultation/frozen sections, non-GYN cytology, perinatal/pediatric autopsy, shared call, and quality assurance responsibilities at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital. Additionally, consultation service for placental pathology, stillbirth, and perinatal pathology is also included.Teaching responsibilities include teaching pathology residents/fellows during their pediatric pathology rotation and related responsibilities, teaching medical students and allied health school students, delivering didactic conferences, and participating in clinical-pathology correlation conferences.Successful candidates must have an MD or DO degree and be eligible for full, unrestricted medical licensure in the state of Tennessee.
