A law firm in Chicago is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of experience in commercial litigation at a reputable law firm. The ideal candidate should be able to manage a diverse caseload of commercial litigation matters from inception to resolution. Responsibilities include drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents, arguing motions in court, assisting in the discovery process, preparing for and participating in depositions, hearings, and trials, and providing strategic analysis and advice to clients on litigation matters. Strong legal research and writing skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment are essential.Duties:Manage a diverse caseload of commercial litigation matters from inception to resolution.Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.Argue motions in court and participate in hearings and trials.Assist in all phases of the discovery process, including document review and production.Prepare for and participate in depositions, hearings, and trials.Work directly with clients, opposing counsel, and internal team members.Provide strategic analysis and advice to clients on litigation matters.Be part of the trial team and assist in preparing and presenting witnesses.Requirements:3-5 years of experience in commercial litigation at a reputable law firm.Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the Illinois Bar or eligibility for admission via waiver.Strong legal research and writing skills, with demonstrated proficiency in drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Admission to the Illinois Bar or eligibility for admission via waiver.Skills:Strong legal research and writing skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.Experience in commercial litigation.
