Overview This senior software engineer role is focused on backend development for the Mobile App DevOps team. The team is responsible for multiple products including: CFA Supply App – Android/iOS/iPad app that puts supply chain in the hands of restaurant Operators and enables amazing customer support. RoutCFA App – Android app used by drivers and transportation managers. This is a critical app that guides drivers through deliveries and safety-related processes. Supply Hub – Web-Based Portal to implement master data configuration, ad hoc communications to restaurants, restaurant onboarding, and transportation-related business processes. RS Automation – Backend service that automates over 65% of ServiceNow incidents. The role requires leading development efforts on the backend across products. It involves defining solutions, technologies, and ensuring high quality on the backend sub-team. About Chick-fil-A Supply and Bay Center Foods As wholly owned subsidiaries of Chick-fil-A, Inc., Chick-fil-A Supply and Bay Center Foods are food production and distribution services networks focused entirely on serving the unique needs and growing volume of Chick-fil-A restaurants. The Chick-fil-A Supply and Bay Center Foods service networks are comprised of three components: Distribution Center – State-of-the-art warehouses that house supply for Chick-fil-A restaurants. Production Distribution Center – Offsite facilities that prepare select ingredients and menu items for Chick-fil-A restaurants. Transportation – Growing fleet of delivery vehicles that supply Chick-fil-A restaurants. Responsibilities Design, deliver, and operate complex cloud-based (AWS) software solutions. Design, develop, and deliver solutions using Python/Go and Kubernetes in an AWS environment. Implement AWS Cloud-based microservices in a highly transactional system that is available 24/7. Leverage agile project management tools and methods to impact the team through system enhancements with a focus on small, frequent releases and continuous improvement. Develop relationships within IT and the business to help with understanding, influencing, and estimating requirements. Identify & propose emerging software engineering technologies, methodologies, and/or approaches. Drive engineering and operational excellence. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field. 6+ years of programming experience in Python and/or Go. Broad experience developing solutions on AWS (IAM, EKS, Lambda, DynamoDB, etc.). A deep understanding of security best practices in the cloud and experience implementing them. Experience developing microservices and event-driven programming. Experience with Docker/Kubernetes. 5+ years working in an agile environment. An insatiable desire to learn new technologies. Note: This opportunity includes both building, deploying, and running solutions that require being part of the support rotation of the DevOps team. This support is shared amongst the team members to cover weekends and weeknights. The goal is to design for failure and automate responses in the cloud to possible issues so they can be worked during normal hours. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Flask and Celery. Experience with automated testing frameworks. Experience with relational databases such as Postgres. Experience with CI/CD, agile, or similar software development practices.
