The role requires excellent drafting, writing, and analytical skills, as well as strong attention to detail, organization, and interpersonal skills.Duties and Responsibilities:Provide legal advice and representation in trusts and estates matters, including estate planning, tax planning, and trust administration.Draft and review legal documents, including wills, trust agreements, and related estate planning instruments.Manage high-net-worth estate and tax planning matters, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.Administer estates and trusts, including overseeing the distribution of assets and managing estate tax matters.Collaborate with clients, financial advisors, and other professionals to develop and implement effective estate planning strategies.Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies and recommendations.Maintain accurate and detailed records of case files and client interactions.Manage multiple projects and clients simultaneously, ensuring timely and efficient completion of tasks.Provide mentorship and guidance to junior attorneys and support staff as needed.Requirements:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Active membership in the California State Bar.3-5 years of experience in a law firm setting, with a focus on trusts and estates, estate planning, or tax law.Knowledge and experience with high-net-worth estate and tax planning, estate and trust administration, and drafting wills and trust agreements.Superior academic credentials.Large or mid-size law firm experience preferred.Tax LLM is a strong plus.Skills:Expertise in trusts and estates law, estate planning, and tax planning.Excellent drafting, writing, and analytical skills.Strong attention to detail and high level of organization.Effective verbal and interpersonal communication skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and clients efficiently.Experience in a large or mid-size law firm is preferred.Tax LLM is advantageous.
