Description:
Our client is currently seeking a Litigation Defense Attorney to join their growing team. This is a full-time, permanent position.
Responsibilities Include:
Manage a litigation caseload from inception to completion, conducting 50+ hearings.
Prepare and draft various legal arguments, drafts, settlements, and other relevant legal materials.
Evaluate medical causation and interact with medical professionals.
Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, co-counsel, and partners.
Independently draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and other file documents.
Apply CPLR discovery rules to evaluate and enforce both external and internal compliance.
Build and maintain internal and external client relationships.
Organize claim resolution goals and execute strategies presented.
Qualifications:
A Juris Doctorate from an accredited university is required.
5+ years of experience defending personal injury claims.
Must be licensed to practice in New York State.
Experience with premises liability claims is a plus.
Must have excellent organizational skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are needed.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Hours & Benefits:
Mon. – Fri. 8:30-5 pm
