This is more than a Head of Finance role; the employer wants the successful candidate to become their Finance Director. From day one, the HoF will lead on managing the financial health, systems and strategy of the business. Supported by three direct reports and part of the senior management team, the successful candidate will generate critical accounting information for all entities within the group. Key responsibilities include:Assume overall responsibility for finance and technology systems through each entity of the groupProduce comprehensive monthly management information with full commentary on financial performanceChair monthly financial review meetings with directors and shareholdersCashflow and budget setting, and reporting on each area of the businessAct as a primary financial contact to external stakeholders, building and developing longstanding business relationshipsEnsure efficient preparation and submission of all aspects of statutory reporting, working closely with chartered accountants and auditorsAged debtor managementVAT and tax reporting and filingDesign, implement and develop digital accounting systemsSupport the CEO in strategy planning and deliveryDevelop, mentor and support a growing team of financial colleaguesThe person:
We’re looking for a highly ambitious, dynamic and commercially astute accountant; professionally qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA), with significant post qualification experience. The successful candidate will require demonstrable experience of influencing decision making and implementing performance/profit improvement initiatives. The business seeks to recruit an IT savvy individual with experience in developing efficient digital accounting systems and advanced MS Excel skills. The role is highly suited to a career-driven individual seeking rapid progression to director level.The benefits:
