The Hired Guns are seeking a Corporate Strategy Senior Lead to head up project teams of razor-sharp internal consultants developing strategies and identifying opportunities for a top player in retail (both online and brick-and-mortar). As the Corporate Strategy Senior Lead, you’ll identify and assess strategic business problems, develop data-driven recommendations, and actively shape scalable execution plans. You’ll present and gain backing for your plans, then form and lead cross-functional teams to execute your initiatives.Throughout the execution process and upon plan completion, you’ll deliver compelling presentations of results and follow-on recommendations. These will be high-stakes projects with significant resource commitment, so you’ll need to know your stuff and be able to influence your collaborators through the strength of your leadership ability and compelling ideas, rather than via formal reporting lines.Why You?How you’ll know if you’re a fit…We are looking for people with two to three years of work experience at a top-tier strategy consulting firm, on top of one or two years’ other work experience. (A bachelor’s degree is required, and an MBA is preferred.)Right now, you’re probably at the level of Consultant, Senior Consultant, Associate, or Senior Associate (depending on the firm), and your track record leans toward holistic strategy rather than a specific functional practice. Ideally, you have worked on significant retail cases and have a strong interest in retail, e-commerce, and innovation.You’re highly analytical with strong quantitative ability and expertise working with financial models and large data sets. You’ve led cross-functional project teams and are adept at influencing stakeholders without formal authority. You have excellent communication and facilitation skills and are highly impressive and persuasive at presenting to audiences all the way up to top executives. You’re a highly independent self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
