Under the direction of the Human Services Division Director, the Program Manager will oversee all aspects of the Providence Partnerships for Success grant. The Providence Partnerships for Success grant focuses on citywide underage alcohol and tobacco/nicotine use for youth ages 12-17 with a focus on youth in out-of-schooltime settings. The Program Manager is responsible for grant reports, meetings, partner engagement, compliance with grant requirements, and coordinating all grant activities with the Human Services Division’s substance use prevention efforts. The Program Manager will work collaboratively with the Human Services staff and other project partners. This is a 35-hour per week full-time position.Duties & Responsibilities

Organize and coordinate grant activities, completion of deliverables, and all reporting requirements.Monitor program and fiscal management of grant to assure compliance with federal regulations and proposed or contracted project activities.Develop and implement a comprehensive prevention approach from the project’s strategic plan.Mobilize and coordinate environmental strategies, events, and skill development activities.Maintain collaborations and partnerships with Mayor Coalition on Behavioral Health member agencies, sub-committee members, City departments, and youth-serving organizations.Organize family and other community trainings and presentations.Integrate project work with the Mayor’s Coalition on Behavioral Health and Regional Partnerships for Success program.Travel to meetings and trainings within and outside the state.Other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years in development and management of community-serving health programs, or equivalent education and experience.Experience in program direction involving multiple partners.Demonstrated familiarity with federal and state grant requirements.Commitment to health equity and public health; desire to improve public health systems.Familiarity with Providence’s diverse communities and neighborhoods and the social determinants of health that impact them.Acute cross-cultural awareness, with a demonstrated ability to center equity in communications.Initiative to launch and complete long-term projects.Attention to administrative detail and follow-through.Ability to work independently and produce high quality deliverables in short time frames, and to carefully work on numerous aspects of programs in a given week.Strong communication skills, including written, verbal, and public speaking.Ability to work well with others and be a highly flexible and collaborative team player.Ability to lead and work well with a diverse array of community-based and youth partners.Ability to carefully monitor quality and work closely with partners on performance improvement if necessary.Ability to maintain accurate and complete files, records, and databases.Intermediate level Microsoft Office proficiency: ability to embrace new technologies, data management, and online platforms.Ability to work some evenings and weekends as required.Fluency in Spanish or other languages spoken by substantial communities in Providence a strong plus.This position is contingent upon grant funding.
