Senior Immigration Attorney

A law firm seeks a seasoned Senior Immigration Attorney to join their dynamic team in Miami, FL. The successful candidate will handle a diverse caseload, represent clients in removal proceedings, and provide strategic immigration solutions.Duties:Explain immigration concepts and present strategic solutionsRepresent non-detained and detained individuals in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration AppealsManage workload of cases efficientlyVisit and conduct intake with detained individuals at centersPrepare diverse immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based immigration petitionsReview immigration applications/packets and make necessary adjustmentsCollaborate with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community-based organizations on changes in immigration lawConduct strategic immigration consultations with potential clientsDevelop case strategy and prepare clients/witnesses for court/USCIS testimonyProvide legal analysis to determine potential case benefits for clientsPrepare and submit legal briefs for various immigration casesRequirements:5-8 years of Immigration Law ExperienceAdmission to the Bar in the relevant jurisdictionPreferably bilingual (Spanish)Exceptional interpersonal skillsRecord of advancing legal cases and managing a caseload effectivelyExperience with Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian, EOIR, Detained, Citizenship, and other USCIS applicationsFamiliarity with Case Management Software preferredEducation and Certifications:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law schoolAdmission to the Bar in the relevant jurisdictionSkills:Excellent oral and written communication skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to work collaboratively in a team environmentProficiency in case management and legal researchFamiliarity with immigration laws and procedures
