Senior Immigration Attorney

A law firm is seeking a Senior Immigration Attorney to join their team in Orange, CA.Job Overview:The Senior Immigration Attorney will be responsible for managing a caseload, providing legal representation in removal proceedings, preparing immigration applications, collaborating with the Immigration Team, and offering strategic solutions to clients.Duties:Explain immigration concepts and present strategic solutionsRepresent non-detained and detained individuals in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration AppealsManage workload of cases effectivelyConduct intake interviews with detained individuals at centersPrepare diverse immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based immigration petitionsReview immigration applications/packets and make necessary adjustmentsCollaborate with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community-based organizations on changes in immigration lawConduct strategic immigration consultations with potential clients and determine necessary legal strategiesDevelop strategies and prepare clients/witnesses for court/USCIS testimonyProvide legal analysis for clients to determine potential case benefitsPrepare and submit legal briefs for various immigration casesPreferably bilingual (Spanish)Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skillsRecord of effectively moving legal cases forward and managing a caseloadExperience with Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian, EOIR, Detained, Citizenship, and other USCIS applicationsExperience with Case Management Software is preferredRequirements:5-8 years of Immigration Law ExperienceJuris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law schoolAdmission to the State BarStrong understanding of immigration law and proceduresExcellent communication and negotiation skillsCertifications:Admission to the State BarAny relevant certifications in immigration law (preferred)Skills:Proficiency in immigration law and proceduresExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a team environmentProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Case Management SoftwareThe firm offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, catered lunches, excellent compensation, 401k plan, paid parking, paid time off, and more.Comcast brings together the best in media and technology.
