Specific information about this job will be provided to you in the interview process, should you be selected.For further information about this vacancy contact:Trina JenkinsThrinacia.Jenkins2@la.govCapital Area Human Services District7389 Florida Blvd, Suite 100Baton Rouge, LA 70806MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Possession of an active, unencumbered, unrestricted and valid Louisiana registered nurse license to practice professional nursing or a multi-state license issued by a Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC/eNLC) state plus an active, valid Louisiana Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license or temporary permit.NOTE:Experience in Behavioral Health and Substance Abuse.Function of work:Provide clinical services to clients at the Capital Area Human Services District's Behavioral Health Clinics.EXAMPLES BELOW ARE A BRIEF SAMPLE OF COMMON DUTIES ASSOCIATED WITH THIS JOB TITLE. NOT ALL POSSIBLE TASKS ARE INCLUDED.Performs psychiatric evaluations on behavioral health and co-occurring mental health and addiction patients.Interviews patient to elicit presenting problem and history, make diagnoses and initial treatment plan.Complete progress notes and sign at the time of service in compliance with charting and billing requirements.Provide crisis intervention and evaluation when needed.Complete medical records and other documentation in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with policy and procedure.Prescribes psychotropic medications, modifies medication treatment as clinically indicated.Work with other clinical staff to ensure necessary and appropriate resource linkage.
