The ideal candidate will be a USPTO-licensed patent attorney with at least 3 years of experience. Preferred candidates will have a technical background in electrical engineering, fiber optic communications, and/or encryption/security. The role requires expertise in patent law, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues.Key Duties and Responsibilities:Prepare, file, and prosecute patent applications before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).Conduct patentability analyses and freedom-to-operate opinions for clients.Develop and execute strategies for patent portfolio management and enforcement.Perform prior art searches and analysis to support patent applications and litigation.Draft and review patent claims, specifications, and responses to office actions.Provide technical and legal advice to clients on patent-related matters, including patent prosecution and litigation.Collaborate with clients, technical experts, and colleagues to understand and address complex patent issues.Monitor and stay updated on changes in patent law and related technologies.Participate in client meetings, presentations, and negotiations as needed.Requirements:USPTO license required.At least 3 years of patent prosecution experience is preferred.Technical background in electrical engineering, fiber optic communications, and/or encryption/security is highly desirable.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proven ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines.Education and Certifications:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.USPTO license to practice as a patent attorney.Skills:Expertise in patent prosecution and patent law.In-depth technical knowledge in electrical engineering, fiber optic communications, and/or encryption/security.Proficiency in drafting and prosecuting patent applications.Strong research, analytical, and writing skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.Excellent client management and interpersonal skills.
