Directly supervise and be responsible for employees in the Marine Construction Department.Confer with and direct supervisory personnel and subcontractors engaged in planning and executing work procedures, interpreting specifications, and coordinating various phases of construction to prevent delays.Order procurement of tools and materials to be delivered at specified times to conform to work schedules.Confer with supervisory and engineering personnel and inspectors.Prepare or review reports on progress, materials used, and costs, and adjust work schedules as indicated by reports.Cost control.Attend coordination and production meetings with the PM to develop activities and amend possible problems related to structures.Perform other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).5+ years’ experience in a similar marine construction role with 10+ years of prior construction experience.Good written and verbal communication skills.Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and government regulations.Ability to write daily reports.Computer Skills: Microsoft Office.Availability and willingness to work weekends and night shifts per business needs.Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities.
