Joint Base Pearl Harbor.Civil Project Engineer will be responsible for providing technical and managerial support to the construction operations on the project.RESPONSIBILITIESLead project meetings to collect and disseminate information pertaining to the projectResponsible for technical specifications/drawings review and issue resolutionCoordinate the collection and dissemination of technical information between/within the company and the ownerResponsible to develop work plans and procedures that enable construction to start on-site and get approvals from the EOR and the ownerResponsible for RFIs / FDCs related to the design as well as NCR resolution/corrective action approval from the EOR and the ownerSchedule and monitor program activity to achieve an on-time result including follow-up with external suppliers to ensure timely response to action itemsCreate bill of materials, referencing project drawings and specificationsReview quotations utilizing supplier information, cost standards, technical information from quality, manufacturing, engineering, and designDetermine possibility of conflicts/delays in the construction process by reviewing project drawings. Analyze the process to determine likelihood of detection and resulting effect. Suggest preventative steps for correctionEnsure that project charges are correctly represented for accounting’s closing processEvaluate project charges are correctly represented for accounting’s closing processManage subcontractors and change orders on projectExecute additional duties and responsibilities as assignedSchedule Quality Control & Quality Assurance inspectionsCoordinate survey operationsProvide support for company initiativesCoordinate implementation of Safety, Health & Environmental programQUALIFICATIONSRequiredBachelor's Degree from an accredited institutionMinimum 7 years’ experience within a construction or engineering firmPreferredDegree in Civil Engineering or Construction ManagementProfessional Engineer LicenseField experienceConstruction experience in heavy civil projectsKnowledge and experience with Word, Excel, and PowerPointKnowledge with Primavera P6 Scheduling SoftwareCommunication – excellent oral presentation and written skillsGoal oriented – able to set goals and achieve themStrong follow-up ability with vendors and subcontractorsInterpersonal – able to work well and persuade people at all organization levelsOrganizational ability – able to plan, prioritize, organize and monitor activities and projects. Able to work well in a group environment and foster a team approach
