Texans Can Academies is a Texas Public Charter school serving students in grades 9-12 in Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, and San Antonio. About 5,000 students drop out of high school each year. We offer a traditional diploma to the non-traditional student.

Full TimeDescription/Notes:PRIMARY PURPOSE:Manage, direct, and administer the School Safety and Security Department, ensuring that all students and staff always enjoy a safe and secure learning environment.Qualifications:We are seeking a candidate that is collaborative, coachable, flexible, and forward thinking. Someone who can not only identify long-term goals and objectives for improvement but create a plan to achieve them. Someone who can project professionalism and leadership during positive and negative situations.

Minimum Education and/or Training:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University in the area(s) of Homeland Security, Criminal Justice, or a related fieldLaw enforcement certifications: Licensed through the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) or a Master Peace Officer license5-7 years of Law Enforcement Experience preferred, a minimum of 3 requiredMeet all Texas School Safety Center requirementsMeet all State certification requirementsExperience with Marshall or Guardian School Program is highly desiredSalary Range:
