We aim to level the playing field for everyday people by offering them the backing of cash to buy and sell with confidence, the guidance of the most trusted real estate agents, and a suite of tech-enabled tools to create a frictionless experience.Summary:The Vice President of Engineering, Platform will report to the Chief Technology Officer of RealSure. This role is 100% remote, with flexible working hours. Monthly strategic meetings will be held in various locations.Responsibilities:Collaborate with the platform product team to develop the business process management platform.Define and drive to a target state architecture based on API-first design principles.Establish a system to track operational and performance data.Drive integration of the core platform with 3rd party systems.Build a high-performing technical team.Manage multi-disciplinary teams in a geographically distributed environment.Build and lead the data engineering team.Build and lead the DevOps team, implementing CI/CD and enabling test automation.Research industry trends and capitalize on opportunities.Collaborate with executive leadership to support companywide strategies.Lead a team with integrity, establishing a diverse and inclusive environment.Assess homegrown solutions to determine when to build vs buy.What you bring:Track record of technical talent development and building high-performing engineering teams.Strong experience in 3rd party system integrations.Experience in low-code development is a plus.Ability to partner and manage offshore engineering resources.Deep understanding of Agile development, preferably Scrum.Excellent communication skills to present to executive leadership.Minimum of 10 years experience leading technical teams using MEAN stack and native mobile application development.Experience with open-source tools and AWS cloud.Exposure to building a tech stack based on customer and business needs.5 years of experience excelling in a highly matrixed environment.
