Qualifications:
B.S.C.E degreeMinimum 10 years of experience in traffic engineeringKnowledge of traffic modeling and software (VISSIM, VISUM, HCS, Synchro/SimTraffic, CORSIM, Quickzone)Experience in design of traffic control devices, including signals, signing, maintenance, pavement markings, and lightingFamiliarity with AASHTO, MUTCD, Highway Capacity Manual, and Highway Safety ManualProfessional Engineer (PE) license preferred, and Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) certification a plusExperience with PennDOT projects and MicroStation/AutoCAD preferredProficient in Microsoft OfficeExcellent communication, technical writing, and organizational skillsPositive attitude and team player mentality
Responsibilities:
Manage and design projects related to traffic signals, signing, markings, lighting, and ITS devicesConduct traffic safety and operations studiesUse traffic modeling software to develop solutionsPerform quality control reviewsAssist with marketing and business developmentMentor and develop junior staffMay require working at client sites
