IllinoisHometown Publications Limited Partnership, publisher of several community newspapers in Illinois, has an immediate opening for a dynamic professional to take the helm as publisher. Due to the retirement of senior equity partners, this position also offers the opportunity to acquire an equity/ownership interest in a dynamic, progressive, and growing company.The successful candidate will be dedicated to achieving revenue goals while being a hands-on, visible leader that can grow print advertising and digital revenue while managing other functional areas of the business. Qualified candidates will have management experience in newspaper, organizational and interpersonal skills with an emphasis on customer service.Responsibilities:Responsible for all advertising-related activities including developing sales strategy.Drive retail, digital, and classified revenue.Develop and manage budgets and sales reports.Actively manage an account list.Oversee production, circulation, business operations, and editorial.Play an active and visible role in the community.Qualifications:Management experience in the newspaper industry.Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.Emphasis on customer service.Enthusiasm, great attitude, leadership, problem-solving, teamwork, and people skills.We offer a competitive salary with a BONUS plan, realistic and attainable monthly goals, expense reimbursement, paid time off, growth opportunities, and the opportunity to own a piece of the pie.
