Tax Associate Attorney or Of Counsel

A law firm in Jackson is seeking a Tax Associate Attorney or Of Counsel to participate in building the existing practice, engage in significant client contact, and move into a leadership role in the long term. The ideal candidate should be academically distinguished with excellent writing and analytical skills, holding a Juris Doctorate or better in Law. They must have 5+ years of relevant experience in estate planning.Duties:Provide legal counsel and support in estate planning matters.Conduct legal research and analysis on tax laws, regulations, and precedents.Draft legal documents, including wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.Advise clients on tax implications of estate planning decisions.Represent clients in estate planning proceedings, including probate and trust administration.Requirements:Juris Doctorate or better in Law.5+ years of relevant experience in estate planning.Admission to the State Bar or eligibility for admission.Strong understanding of tax laws and regulations.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.Skills:Proficiency in legal research and writing.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Knowledge of estate planning principles and strategies.Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.Ability to build and maintain client relationships.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research databases.
