Tax Associate Attorney or Of Counsel

A law firm is seeking a Tax Associate Attorney or Of Counsel for their Chattanooga location. The ideal candidate will be academically distinguished with excellent writing and analytical skills, ready to assume responsibility in a very active practice. This role offers participation in building the existing practice, significant client contact, and the opportunity to move into a leadership role in the long term.Job Overview:Participate in building the existing tax practice.Transition into a leadership role within the firm over time.Duties:Conduct legal research and analysis related to tax law and estate planning matters.Draft legal documents, including wills, trusts, and estate plans.Provide legal advice and counsel to clients regarding tax planning strategies.Represent clients in tax audits and disputes with tax authorities.Assist with business succession planning and asset protection strategies.Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to provide comprehensive legal services to clients.Requirements:Juris Doctorate or better in Law.5+ years of relevant experience in estate planning.Strong understanding of tax law and regulations.Excellent writing and analytical skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.Admission to the State Bar (or willingness to become admitted).Skills:Proficiency in legal research and writing.Strong analytical skills.Knowledge of tax law and estate planning principles.Ability to communicate complex legal concepts effectively.Excellent interpersonal skills for client interaction.Organizational skills to manage caseload effectively.
