Under the supervision of the Honolulu Land Information System (HoLIS) GIS administrator, you and your peers from various City and County of Honolulu departments will be designing, programming, and providing database management support to help the City and County of Honolulu with the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) projects and applications.Apply today! : Equivalent to graduation from a regionally-accredited four year college or university with a bachelor's degree in physical or natural science, geography, engineering, planning, computer science or a related field.Education obtained outside of the United States must be comparable to a degree earned at a regionally-accredited college/university in the United States. In order to receive credit for the education, a foreign credential evaluation (FCE) must be provided. : Two years of progressively responsible experience in using GIS software in the design and production of thematic maps and other applications.Desirable Experience : Experience in using GIS, work management, and other software products to support and produce user interfaces to GIS and related databases.Such experience must have demonstrated:Knowledge of the concepts and principles of GIS and geography as it applies to GIS;Knowledge of mapping, cartography, surveying and photogrammetry;Knowledge of GIS and relational database management concepts and theories;Knowledge of operations, characteristics and capabilities of various types of GIS computer and peripheral equipment;Ability to analyze, correlate and evaluate thematic map data and records;Ability to create GIS computer programs to enter, process and create maps, graphics and data reports;Ability to manage the preparation and operation of GIS projects;Ability to maintain effective working relationships with others.Having the required number of years of experience will not in itself be accepted as qualifying for the position. Your overall experience must have been of such scope, level and responsibility as to conclusively demonstrate the ability to perform the duties of the position.LICENSE REQUIREMENT

: Possession of a valid driver's license, as required.
