Data Advisor

for our Onshore Resources & Carbon Management, Production Operations asset.This position will be located in our

Houston, TX . The

Data Advisor

supports Portfolio, Planning, and Integrated Planning team by providing optimized data management structures and tool development that allow for improved visibility, analysis, and decision making across the ORCM organization.Responsibilities:Create, enhance, and support tools used by portfolio planning and business units.Create and support dashboards to provide visibility into business performance, operational data, and financials.Provide data, information, and technical support to portfolio planning teams.Assist with digital transformation projects and automating workflows.Proactively recognize and resolve data issues.Provide training, share best practices, and mentor others in the organization.Qualifications:Bachelors Degree with 3+ years working as a Data Analyst or similar role.Strong knowledge of data systems (ORACLE, SQL Server) and SQL Syntax.Familiarity with database security and permissions pertaining to tables and schemas.Creative thinker with a desire to challenge the status quo and conventional thinking with the ability to influence new ideas, processes and technologies.Ensures high quality data is available for the decision-making processes.Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities.Excellent time management skills with ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently.Must be a team player with strong interpersonal skills that are necessary to work with multidiscipline customers with varying degrees of experience.Strong communication skills to work in a collaborative environment.Additional Desired Qualifications:Experience with programming languages like R, Python, VBA, C#.Ability to manipulate large amounts of data quickly from multiple data sources with a variety of tools.Upstream Oil and Gas experience.This position is not eligible for relocation.Occidental does not offer sponsorship of employment-based nonimmigrant visa petitions for this role.Occidental is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
