Job Title: Restructuring Associate AttorneyJob Overview: A law firm in Wilmington, DE, is seeking a Restructuring Associate Attorney with 2-3 years of restructuring experience, including in-court restructurings. The candidate will work closely with a collaborative team of attorneys who provide active mentoring and ongoing training. This role offers the opportunity to assume a high level of responsibility and direct client contact, allowing the candidate to gain a wide range of experience.Duties and Responsibilities:Handle a diverse caseload of restructuring matters, including in-court restructurings and out-of-court workouts.Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on complex restructuring cases.Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.Represent clients in bankruptcy court and at other legal proceedings.Provide strategic advice and counsel to clients on restructuring issues.Develop and maintain client relationships through regular communication and meetings.Participate in negotiations and mediation related to restructuring cases.Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.Requirements:2-3 years of restructuring experience, including substantial in-court restructuring work.Strong knowledge of bankruptcy law and procedures.Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.Excellent legal research and writing skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.High level of professionalism and ethical standards.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Active membership in good standing with the State Bar of Delaware.Certifications:Admission to the Delaware Bar (required).Additional certifications in bankruptcy law (preferred but not required).Skills:Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.Proficient in legal research tools and software.Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong working relationships with clients and colleagues.
