Reporting directly to the Chief People Officer and NA CEO, lead the NA People Org team function to enable the NA Region to achieve its objectives, by partnering with the NA Leadership Team across all solution lines.Strategically aligned at both Global and Regional levels, the role will lead the development and execution of the People Strategy, ensuring strong connections and collaboration across all aspects of the Talent agenda.How is this role different?Establishing strong influential relationships in a sophisticated corporate environment with both Business leaders and People Org colleagues, the CPO will be a role model for our values and culture. The ability to work in a sophisticated global market to ensure the firm attracts and retains the best talent will be of high importance.Lead the NA People Organization in the development and execution of the Talent Strategy, collaborating strongly with the Centres of Excellence to ensure consistency of the Colleague Experience and the effective delivery of all aspects of the People Strategy incorporating the Talent life cycle.Work closely with the Centres of Excellence to ensure all aspects of Global Programming are effectively brought to bear across the Talent and Culture spectrum. Partner with the COE leaders to cascade global initiatives to the NA Region in a consistent, united approach across all solution lines in the NA region.Act as a single point of contact for Centres of Excellence for developing and implementing an effective People strategy, governance, policies, procedures and practices for NA. As a Trusted Advisor and Partner to the NA CEO and the NA Executive Committee, contribute to the success of business objectives, ensuring the Talent Strategy supports business needs and the Exec are aligned and supportive of global initiatives.Develop a deep understanding of the Talent challenges and take accountability to ensure effective interventions are deployed for successful outcomes. Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of Aon's overall business model, enabling strategic consulting on and delivery of people initiatives to deliver business results and performance.Act as a single point of contact for NA regional Leadership team and Global Centres of Excellence for coordination of talent activities across all solution lines in the NA. Set targets and monitor people org functional spend across the people org in NA in conjunction with people org Global Centre of Excellence leaders.Influence and participate in the development of Aon Global people org strategy, member of the People Organisation leadership team. Lead on Diversity and Inclusion, ensuring we have a coherent strategy in place across NA and driving measurable improvements in line with Global goals as well as NA specific requirements, to build a truly diverse and inclusive workplace.Ensure robust performance management and training and competence processes are in place and that actions arising from these processes are implemented in a timely manner. Partner with Talent Acquisition function to ensure resourcing plans are in place so that our businesses are able to attract, retain, develop and empower the appropriate number and calibre of staff to deliver our strategic objectives and targets.Drive a culture consistent with Aon values and business ethics through alignment of appropriate People policies.Skills and experience that will lead to successAble to consult to the entire People Portfolio with an integrated, global perspective, proven success resolving sophisticated People issues.Able to build effective links at all levels of the organisation, and to advise, influence and partner with senior leaders in developing/implementing people strategies to drive business performance.Self-sufficient and resourceful.
