Position Specifics - Chief, Division of Retina & Vitreoretinal DiseaseThe Department of Ophthalmology in the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, State University of New York at Buffalo (UB), invites applications and nominations for the role of Chief, Division of Retina Disease & Vitreoretinal Surgery. The UB Department of Ophthalmology and the Ross Eye Institute are conducting a national search for a board-certified/eligible ophthalmologist whose clinical practice involves the medical and surgical management of vitreo-retinal diseases. The successful applicant will be actively involved as a teaching professor in the clerkship and residency program, and will build upon our well established retinal program's clinical, educational, and research efforts.The successful applicant will arrive at a pivotal time in the history of the Department and of UB’s Academic Health Center (AHC), a consortium of UB's five health sciences schools - dental medicine, medicine and biomedical sciences, nursing, pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences, and public health and health professions.This is an opportunity to join an organization focused on the future of medicine- one whose physicians and advanced practitioners partner with their patients to ensure a higher state of care and better outcomes.
