Provides PSEG Nuclear with the technology products that support business outcomes. The Director works closely with the Nuclear Business Unit to establish the vision, leadership, execution capability to assure the timely, innovative and cost-effective deployment of technology products in order to achieve the desired business goals.Responsible for working closely with business partners to identify business opportunities, scan product marketplace, define sourcing strategy, manage product effectiveness and consumption, and continuously improve product feature set and cost to improve business goal attainment. Leverages the technology standards set by corporate IT to develop solutions to meet the needs of the Nuclear Business Unit.Provides high-level technical guidance, strategic product planning, and analytical support to LOB’s and senior management through the establishment of strong credibility and rapport in developing relationships to promote trust and confidence in the technology leadership team. Possesses the primary responsibility for coordinating development of the PSEG Nuclear Business Unit technology plan, coordinating technology and information systems matters that affect the delivery of new technical capabilities to the PSEG Nuclear Business Unit; identifying associated priorities, opportunities and risks; coordinating development of technology-related policies and operational procedures; and creation of the Target Architecture in partnership with other corporate IT groups.The Director manages all IT resources required to scope, plan, design, build, test, and deploy IT applications and infrastructure across the PSEG Nuclear Business Unit. The role will also work with business functions to ensure appropriate change management is in place to maximize technology product adoption.Additionally, this position will be accountable for introducing industry best practices into PSEG Nuclear Business Unit operations and to follow PSEG IT Software Delivery Lifecycle processes. Director needs to ensure that delivered solutions are consistent with the Technology Roadmap and Enterprise Architecture. Coordination will also be required with the Operational Support groups to effect disruption-free deployments into production.Job ResponsibilitiesDevelop long-term IT investment strategy, and business applications/technology architecture aligned with business objectives; establish strong credibility and rapport, and develop relationships with the internal lines of business to promote trust and confidence in the technology leadership team.Leverage the capabilities of the PSEG IT organization to solve Nuclear Business Unit problems and improve the safety and operational performance of the nuclear units.Be a force for introduction and adoption of transformative technologies in the PSEG Nuclear Business Unit that deliver material business value and contribute to attainment of scorecard goals. Analyze business needs and conduct market analysis to identify, source/develop, and deploy appropriate solutions.Develop and manage department’s capital and O&M budgets and ensure annual adherence.Direct staff, including career development, coaching and counseling, and performance and compensation management in a way that fosters excellence in the IT competencies such as Digital Acumen, Product Management, Product Ownership, Collaboration, and Value Realization.Develop and maintain excellent value realization and product related metrics to ensure technology products are optimizing business value.Direct, coach and counsel IT and Business resources (internal and external) on business technology product development and programs in all facets of product development and deployment to production. Sets an accelerated innovation pace.Job Specific QualificationsRequiredBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.At least fifteen years experience in technology, including a senior role leading at least thirty technologists.Experience with modern IT methodologies such as waterfall, Agile and DevOps.Short and long-term strategic planning expertise that produced innovative technology for implementation across multiple disciplines.Expertise with operational technologies (OT) and ability to build teams with strong OT skills and delivery capabilities.Working knowledge of Nuclear regulations (e.g. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) 10 CFR 73.54 and U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) 10 CFR Part 810) regarding protection of digital computer and communication systems and networks, and export controlled nuclear information.Knowledge of cybersecurity standards and best practices.Strong leadership skills: ability to energize multi-disciplinary teams to apply new techniques.Creative, strategic thinker/problem solver; ability to exercise independent judgment in a complex environment using leading-edge technology.Excellent communication skills; demonstrated ability to present complex information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others, and gains approval.Demonstrated ability to perform digital product management in facets like market analysis, demand management, value realization, and change management.Strong relationship building skills, ability to collaborate with diverse personalities on cross-functional projects.Strong analytical and conceptual skills.Collaborative partner with excellent execution track record.Ability to effectively adapt to rapidly changing technology and apply to business needs, developing and delivering projects.Graduate degree in IT, Business or ManagementExperience in the Nuclear Power Generation IndustryMinimum Years of Experience15 years of experienceEducationCertificationsNone NotedDisclaimerCertain positions at the Company may require you to have access to Part 810-Controlled Information.
