Chief Medical Officer opening in Knoxville, TN.Employment with the health system.100% administrative role.Serve as an active member of the administrative staff and as a liaison between the health system and the multiple hospitals' medical staffs.Responsibilities:Champion the delivery of quality care as a priority of the Medical Staff and Health System.Promote clinical excellence, exceptional patient care, and compliance with regulatory guidelines.Advise the administrative team and medical staff in compliance with and preparation for reviews by state and federal governing bodies.Qualifications:10 years of medical staff experience (or relevant experience) in a hospital system environment, including experience in physician credentialing processes and committees, and dealing with multiple discipline medical groups.Hospital is located in beautiful East Tennessee, near the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. With our three hospitals located in Knoxville and four in the surrounding counties outside of Knoxville, we offer a health system that's strategically located to provide local health care to over 800,000 people in the region.Knoxville is home to the University of Tennessee with Division I sports and strong academic programs. Beautiful lakes and parks surround the area, making hiking, water sports, and all outdoor activities easily accessible.
