A law firm in Chicago, IL, seeks a highly skilled and experienced mid-to-senior-level Associate Attorney to join its team. The ideal candidate will handle complex legal matters independently while providing clients with strategic advice and legal representation.Duties:Conduct legal research and analysis on a variety of complex legal issues.Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, motions, and briefs.Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, arbitrations, and negotiations.Provide strategic counsel to clients on legal matters affecting their business interests.Manage and supervise junior associates and legal staff on assigned projects.Develop and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.Requirements:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the Illinois State Bar; additional admissions in neighboring states preferred.4-7 years of experience practicing law in a reputable law firm or corporate legal department.Proven track record of handling complex litigation and transactional matters.Strong understanding of corporate law, commercial transactions, and regulatory compliance.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Prior experience in economic development, real estate, or municipal law is a plus.Certifications:Active membership in good standing with the Illinois State Bar Association (or equivalent state bar associations).Skills:Legal research and writing proficiency.Litigation and negotiation expertise.Client counseling and relationship management.Leadership and mentorship abilities.Time management and organizational skills.
