We approach today’s toughest business challenges with a client-first mindset, working together to create exceptional value.As a Tax Director, you will:Work with clients and firm partners to determine engagement objectives and assume a lead role in coordinating resources to meet such objectives.Develop engagement budgets, coordinate required resources, bill engagements, and manage performance against stated objectives.Provide guidance to ensure that engagement risks are identified and appropriate responses are taken.Provide timely on-site review and feedback on the work of other tax personnel.Work with engagement and client personnel to address complex tax and accounting issues and ensure that client communications are provided in a timely manner.Provide the engagement partner with timely status updates and communicate issues as they arise.Wrap-up tax engagements in a timely and economic manner.Focus on areas of technical specialization and provide executive level guidance to other engagements and offices.Lead a team that provides tax and consulting services to flow through entities and their related owners.Plan to minimize tax costs incurred by employers and mitigate international employees’ tax liabilities.Serve as a mentor to managers and senior managers and as a valued colleague to other directors and partners.Contribute to overall office efficiency by providing feedback on staff performance and participating in staff development initiatives.Identify opportunities for expanded services to clients.Manage a network of decision makers and outside relationships to create referrals and long-term business development opportunities.Perform other essential duties as needed.What you bring to the role:Minimum of 10 years of experience in public accounting.Bachelor's degree in accounting; Masters preferred.An active CPA license.Excellent project management, analytical, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.Ability to lead and develop Tax Staff, Seniors, Managers, and Senior Managers.Experience preparing complex federal corporate, multi-state, individual, and partnership returns.Basic knowledge of financial services products.Strong understanding of IRS practice and procedure.Ability to review complex tax planning projects and identify additional planning opportunities.What you can expect from us:Our shared values that foster inclusion and belonging including uncompromising integrity, collaboration, trust, and mutual respect.The opportunity to innovate and engage in motivating work.A collaborative environment focused on career growth and continuous professional development.Competitive compensation and a total rewards package that focuses on your wellbeing.Flexibility to do impactful work and enjoy life outside of work.About Cherry Bekaert

Individual salaries are determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geographic location.
