If you are ready to find your space and create your future, you belong with us.The Private Client Services (PCS) practice provides exceptional personal compliance and business tax planning services to partnerships, heads of families, family businesses, private equity fund owners, as well as high net worth individuals. Our expertise includes providing services associated with owning, managing, and preserving businesses and wealth, including asset protection, family government services, estate and succession, planning sensitive wealth transfers, and philanthropic planning.As a Tax Director, you will:Work with clients and firm partners to determine engagement objectives and assume a lead role in coordinating resources to meet such objectives.Develop engagement budgets, coordinate required resources, bill engagements, and manage performance against stated objectives to ensure that client deliverables and firm objectives are met.Provide guidance and experience to ensure that engagement risks are identified and appropriate responses (including specific tax steps) are taken.Provide timely on-site review of and feedback on the work of other tax personnel.Work with engagement and client personnel to address extremely complex tax and accounting issues, review all finished tax deliverables and tax accruals for accuracy and completeness, and ensure that client communications (written and oral) are provided in a timely manner to avoid surprises.Provide the engagement partner responsible for the tax work with timely status updates and communicate and involve the partner in the resolution of client service, tax, or accounting problems/issues as they arise.Work to wrap up tax engagements in a timely and economic manner.Focus on one or more areas of technical specialization (industry-related or subject matter), with a large percentage of client service towards clients covered by this specialization, identify planning opportunities within such areas of specialization, and provide executive-level guidance and consultation relating to such specialization to other engagements and offices throughout the Firm.Lead a team that provides tax and consulting services to flow-through entities and their related owners in a variety of industries.Plan to minimize the tax costs incurred by employers and mitigate the effects of international employees’ individual tax liabilities.Serve as a formal and informal mentor to managers and senior managers and as a valued colleague (as it relates to people and other office matters) to other directors and partners.Contribute to overall office efficiency by providing feedback on staff performance, participating in initiatives for ongoing staff development, and developing a teaming culture (through informal social and professional events).Identify opportunities for expanded services to prospective and existing clients (through the development of “trusted advisor” status with clients served).Manage a network of decision-makers and outside relationships with a goal of creating referrals and references as well as fostering long-term business development opportunities (through involvement in leadership roles with and in professional groups, community service, and personal relationships).Perform other essential duties as needed.What you bring to the role:Minimum of 10 years of experience in public accounting.Bachelor's degree in accounting.
