Finance Banking Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm based in Chicago, IL, seeks a dynamic Finance Banking Associate Attorney with at least 2 years of private credit, acquisition finance, or leveraged finance experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial principles and regulations and exceptional analytical and communication skills.Duties:Conduct legal research and analysis related to banking and finance transactions.Draft and review legal documents, including loan agreements, security documents, and financial contracts.Assist in due diligence processes for financing transactions.Provide legal advice and support to clients on financial matters.Collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.Represent clients in negotiations and transactions related to banking and finance matters.Stay updated on changes in financial laws and regulations affecting clients' interests.Requirements:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the Illinois State Bar or eligibility for admission by waiver.Minimum of 2 years of experience in private credit, acquisition, or leveraged finance.Strong understanding of banking and finance principles, lending practices and regulatory compliance.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Admission to the Illinois State Bar or eligibility for admission by waiver.Skills:Proficiency in legal research and analysis.Strong drafting and reviewing skills.Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.Attention to detail and accuracy in work.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
