Overview:
Edgewater Federal Solutions is seeking a Network Technician III to support the IT prohram at a a major national laboratory. The organization's mission is to deliver secure, consistent, and capable network and virtual services to ensure faster realization of business value to end users. This organization is responsible for providing secure, consistent, and highly available network infrastructures and virtual services to meet the labs corporate and mission IT needs. Virtual Services will enable people to work with confidence in a secure computing environment. This support includes network and virtual services development, design, implementation, testing, trouble resolution, network monitoring tools, and maintenance contracts.Responsibilities:Provide Network Field Support ServicesReview incoming IT Service Desk requests and resolve customer requirement issueCoordinate with Network Advanced Field Operations Team as needed to support activation of device ports.Design and implement computer and information networks, such as local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), intranets, extranets, and other data communications networks.Perform network modeling, analysis, and planning, including analysis of capacity needs for network infrastructures.May also design network and computer security measures.May research and recommend network and data communications hardware and software.Qualifications:
Associates Degree with 5 years experience.In lieu of degree, 8 years related experience is required.U.S. Citizenship is required per contract to obtain and maintain a DOE Q clearanceAbout Us:Edgewater Federal Solutions is a privately held government contracting firm located in Frederick, MD.
