Come build the first distributed utility with us, propelling the biggest energy transformation of our lifetime!The RoleAs Moxion's first Sr. Supplier Quality Engineer, you will support the SQE manager in developing world-class processes for our supply base to adhere to and respect. You will be responsible for all suppliers within Moxion’s manufacturing vendor base and ensure that products are delivered according to design specifications with world-class quality. The individual will provide support in areas of documentation and supplier development as well as lead cross-functional initiatives to address any and all concerns related to quality of our supplied components.What you'll do:Work closely with our vendor base to define and drive PPAP requirements.Support design reviews, first article inspections, vendor capacity and resource constraints, and monitor key performance indicators related to our supply base.Develop APQP protocols with all existing suppliers and encourage proper up-front documentation to all new vendors.Coordinate closely with design engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure proper adherence to all change control activities.Lead resolution of supplier-related non-conformances while ensuring data is shared and tracked/documented.Work closely with suppliers to prioritize development and, in conjunction with the SQE manager, create a roadmap to develop all vendors.Create and monitor supplier performance scorecards to focus on areas of need and partner with vendors that require additional support.Lead cross-functional discussions to investigate and drive issue resolution for high-impact customer quality issues and warranty claims.Skills to be successful:Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Industrial or equivalent) or equivalent experience.Quality experience in a manufacturing environment.Supplier quality experience.Problem-solving skills supported by structured Root Cause analysis, may include the following: Kepner-Tregoe, Triz, Shainin, etc. Basic knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).Knowledge and understanding of ISO 9001, TS 16949 quality systems, electro-mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.Good knowledge base for tooling, manufacturing processes, and manufacturing standards across castings, complex assemblies, and circuit boards.Auditor experience a plus.Knowledge of quality and continuous improvement tools.Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, Zoom or similar applications.Experience using measurement tools including but not limited to gauges, calipers, micrometers, optical comparators.At Moxion you get:Health, dental, and vision coverage, unlimited PTO, competitive equity & compensation packages, free coffee and snacks, flexible work from home policy, access to Mountain Hardware, Columbia, Sorel, & Prana employee stores and discounts, credit to company swag store, investment in professional development courses, and parental leave program.We Value:People are at the core of Moxion’s values.
