The Systems Architect will design, configure, operate and perform maintenance on networking and computer systems — including hardware, software, web portals, internet and intranet connections, firewalls, servers, and security — that allows the company's infrastructures to function. The Systems Architect will be tasked with the overall design and maintenance of the IT system.Responsibilities:Creating documentation such as design specifications and design rationale to help other members of the team understand the design decision process.Conducting research on emerging technologies that could impact the system being designed.Developing a conceptual model of how users will interact with the system, including how data will be stored and processed.Recommending new technology solutions to meet business goals and objectives.Reviewing existing systems to determine how they can be improved or updated.Working with designers to create system diagrams showing how components of the system work together.Identifying security risks and advising on how to mitigate them.Determining hardware and software specifications for the system being designed.Serving as a liaison between the development team and other departments within the company.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, software engineering or a related field.Applicable certifications like Certified System Architect (CSA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional - Architecture (CISSP).Minimum of fifteen (15) years’ experience or equivalent combination of education and training that provides for the required knowledge, skills, and abilities in infrastructure, cloud, and security architecture design and development.
