About This RoleUdemy is seeking a Manager within the Data Products organization to lead AI and Machine Learning efforts related to our Organization portfolio. The Data Products organization is a centralized group of data scientists, machine learning engineers, and software engineers responsible for developing and maintaining ML/AI-powered products.
What you'll be doing:Recruit, hire, and retain an amazing team of high-caliber data scientists and engineers.Partner with cross-functional leaders to shape the data products roadmap and drive execution.Provide hands-on technical guidance and career mentorship for team members.Maintain high-quality standards, effective team processes, and best practices in both data science and engineering.
What you’ll have:6+ years of experience in data science and engineering roles.3+ years of experience building complex AI/ML products at scale in cross-functional teams.3+ years of management experience.Strong knowledge of the ML lifecycle, engineering best practices, and A/B testing.Hands-on experience with a variety of fundamental AI/ML methods.Ability to communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Self-driven, highly motivated, and able to learn quickly.
