Qualifications
Bachelor's and 6 years of experience, or Master's/PhD degree and 4 years of experience in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science or a relevant fieldAt least 4 years of experience with time series modellingAt least 4 years of hands-on experience in several of the following areas: machine learning, statistics, optimization, regression modelling, deep learning, generative AI, causal inference, experimentationAt least 4 years of development experience with PythonProficiency with statistical packages in Python (e.g., scikit-learn, NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, Statsmodels, matplotlib, and PyTorch)Proficiency with relational database concepts, SQL, and knowledge of ETL processesProficiency with cloud technologies such as AWS, GCP, or AzureAbility to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical audiencesProficiency with version control systems (e.g., Git)Experience leading teams of other data scientists on long-term projectsDemonstrated desire to learn new skillsResponsibilities
The Data Scientist will work closely with multiple stakeholders across the business to develop models, optimize systems, and leverage data to support tactical and strategic decisionsBuild and test machine learning models to support the company's platformMaintain and contribute to existing Data Science codebases and automation of existing forecast model pipelineDevelop and deploy models to the company's platform that provide ongoing forecasts, optimizations, recommendations, and insightsReview diagnostic and performance reports to locate and correct problems and optimize algorithmsWork collaboratively with peers by actively participating in research reviews and discussionsWork with Client Support and Delivery teams to communicate outcomes, changes, and new features in the company's platformWork with analytical leaders to prioritize business information and potential software improvementsLead internal and external projects and direct junior data scientistsBenefits
