As a software engineer, you will work on a specific project critical to Google’s needs with opportunities to switch teams and projects as you and our fast-paced business grow and evolve. We need our engineers to be versatile, display leadership qualities and be enthusiastic to take on new problems across the full-stack as we continue to push technology forward.As part of the Software Product team, you will own the end-to-end integration and validation of complex system features. You will work closely with Software Architecture, Firmware, Kernel, Hardware Platform teams, and other partner teams to ensure feature readiness per Program Milestone. In this cross-functional role you will work together with many component engineers to understand, test, and debug system level interactions. You will also be the front-end interface during various phases of the product lifecycle starting from bring-up until commercialization, providing technical support to customers and partners.Google's mission is to organize the world's information and make it universally accessible and useful. We aim to make people's lives better through technology.The US base salary range for this full-time position is $133,000-$194,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Learn more about benefits at Google.ResponsibilitiesGather BSP (Board Support Package) requirements from Product and Silicon Validation hardware teams.Customize and integrate BSP software (ROMs, bootloaders, device drivers, Recovery Time Objective and RTOS's drivers) onto platforms.Bring up of BSP software on emulation and hardware platforms, to support Silicon Validation hardware efforts and silicon enablement in the product.Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams throughout the development process.Debug hardware and software issues on emulation and hardware platforms.Google is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and is an affirmative action employer.
