You will participate in all phases of the product development lifecycle from definition, and design, through implementation and testing. Work closely with security researchers, and product managers on new feature requests, QA and DevOps on testing and deployment plans, and other engineering teams on all kinds of collaboration.We're seeking innovators - engineers who seek to design new products, designing state-of-the-art products that do not exist today. These engineers love to code with a drive to build global products and bring new ideas to develop security disciplines to solve real-world problems. We are looking for cloud advocates who take ownership of their areas of focus and who are driven to pursue problems at every level. Collaboration is at the heart of our culture and we need engineers who can communicate at a high level and work well with multi-functional teams towards achieving a common goal.We expect office-based employees to be in the office four days per week, with one day working from where they choose. We believe being together facilitates casual conversations and those magic moments where we can work on issues and ideas informally. These moments build capability and deepen trusted relationships and allow our people to feel safe in taking risks and being disruptive. Like so many companies, we are working through the details and things could change …. but in general if a role is deemed office-based we want our teams to be together four days per week.Your ImpactDevelop key security research infrastructure for researchers and security servicesImplement and maintain complex software pipelines and data infrastructure with challenging requirements for high-quality and performanceWork closely with other team members and threat researchers to gather requirements, design architecture, and write design documentsWork closely with QA and other development teams to deliver high-quality productsImprove product development and release processesDemonstrate good software development practices and support the team in improving coding standardsQualificationsSolid CS fundamentals, as well as networking knowledgeStrong knowledge of programming in GoLang or PythonStrong knowledge of any public cloud platform such as GCP is a plusStrong knowledge of data processing frameworks such as Spark, Apache Beam, BigQuery, DataflowStrong knowledge of SQL and No-SQL DB technologies such as MySQL, Redis, HBbase/Bigtable, SpannerCommunicate at a high level and work well with multi-functional teams toward achieving a common goalHigh energy and the ability to work in a fast-paced environmentSolid foundation in design, data structures, and algorithms, and strong analytical and debugging skillsBS/MS in Computer Science / Software Engineering or equivalent military experience requiredThe TeamOur Security Services Team is responsible for building next-generation threat prevention and antivirus solutions and shipping high-quality content to our products to prevent successful cyberattacks. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/com-missioned roles) is expected to be between $119,700/yr to $193,600/yr.
