Title:

Manager of Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting

Salary:

$120-160k + Bonus + Equity

Job Description:

The Manager of Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting will be responsible for a wide variety of accounting and reporting responsibilities. This position will be an integral part of the month-end close including leading the SEC filings and assisting with technical accounting compliance and adoption of new accounting standards. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills and desire and ability to maintain strong SOX-compliant processes are also important. This position reports to the VP Finance.

Responsibilities:

Prepare all aspects of the financial reporting and compliance activities for a public company including 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, Proxy and Section 16 SEC filings.Research relevant U.S. GAAP accounting and disclosure requirements and SEC rules.Establish and maintain effective internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial reporting.Coordinate with the VP Finance to manage audits and reviews with external auditors, ensuring efficient and successful completion of audits.Lead the analysis for any technical accounting memos.Manage the overall equity transaction process including option exercises initiated in the platform and monthly grant processing.Support management with the stock administration platform.Act as an internal equity expert and educate employees on questions relating to equity and stock options.Complete year-end reporting needs for Section 6039 reporting for ISO exercises, W2 income reporting and 1099-Misc on equity income reporting.Manage ESPP program and purchases.Internal reporting of stock ownership by executives, directors and financial institutions.Month-end and Quarter-end close activities.Evaluate, implement, and optimize financial systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial processes.Lead and participate in special projects as needed, contributing financial expertise to cross-functional initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field.At least 5 - 7 years' experience in accounting, preferably at a public biotech company.Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel.Strong organization and time management skills.A high attention to detail.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently, managing multiple priorities to meet deadlines.Strong knowledge of US GAAP.

Preferred Qualifications:
