In this job, you will report to the Senior Manager of Data Governance Office and work directly with Customer Service Operations Division (CSOD) – to steward CSOD’s data assets by providing support to programs, projects, and groups that work with data, ensuring data-related work is performed according to standards and policies, resolving data issues, proactively preventing data problems before they begin, and disseminating data-related information such as customer data quality metrics, recommendations on optimal cleansing to all partners.The

Senior Analyst

will support, coordinate, extract data, analyze data and perform data cleansing of CSOD customer data elements stemming from people, process, and technology issues, assist in interpreting data and finding patterns, applying automation to cleanse data to ensure data remains accurate, complete and consistent. The Senior Analyst will share data findings with the Analysts, collaborate to decide prioritization, identify remediation such as resolution steps and/or assess automation potential to effectively execute data cleansing strategy as well as lead the verification/validation of the results.As a

Lead for providing, analyzing, and interpreting data in support of data quality initiatives such as Address Cleansing, Public Authority Code Validations, and automated data profiling.Acts as a key resource to Data Steward/SMEs about data sources, extraction methods and data interpretation.Responsible for extraction of data for ad hoc requests, maintaining analytical support for several programs simultaneously, including developing new ways to monitor data quality.Lead for building simple automation scripts and applying data cleansing scripts on the system of record and systems of engagement.Responsible for processing data quality intake items with guidance from process SMEs and cleansing customer data in systems to meet data standards ensuring no downstream impacts.Responsible for providing input into data profiling efforts, data cleansing efforts, data quality measures and metrics reports.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications

The Essentials

Five or more years of experience managing data quality, data analytics, governance, or related efforts.Proficiency with the following software tools: Microsoft Excel and SAS or other data extraction tools.The Preferred

Bachelor’s degree or higher in a Business, Economics, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) or related field.Experience analyzing medium to large sized datasets to identify patterns/anomalies, prioritizing, and optimizing data cleansing.Experience with customer systems (e.g., SAP ISU, C4 HANA, S4 HANA etc.).Experience building SAP automation scripts and/or other automation tools.Experience validating and geo-coding addresses.Experience building business rules using data profiling tools (e.g., SAP Information Steward).Strong verbal and written communication/presentation skills with the ability to clearly articulate data, context, and implications to a wide variety of partners.Ability to work well as a team member, in a team environment, and be able to collaborate with peers, clients, management, and other organizations.Ability to integrate work across relevant areas, manage information and provide exceptional service to internal and external customers.You should know

This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California.
