The Department of Molecular and Cell Biology (MCB) at UC Berkeley invites applications for a pool of non-tenure track Lecturer positions to teach MCB courses as the need arises.Teaching Responsibilities:We are seeking outstanding lecturers who can teach/co-teach small, medium, and large size lecture, seminar, and/or laboratory courses in the subject areas listed below:Biochemistry, Biophysics and Structural BiologyCell & Developmental BiologyGenetics, Genomics and DevelopmentImmunology and PathogenesisNeurobiologyMolecular TherapeuticsGeneral Duties:In addition to teaching responsibilities, general duties include holding office hours, assigning grades, advising students, preparing course materials (e.g., syllabus), maintaining a course website, and using a learning management system (e.g., bCourses at UC Berkeley, Canvas, etc.).Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

A Master's degree (or equivalent international degree) is required by the time of application.Additional Qualifications:

A Ph.D or M.D. degree (or equivalent international degree) is required to teach a lecture course by the time of hire.Preferred Qualifications:Documented experience in teaching one of the biological or life sciences at the college level. Completion of all Ph.D (or equivalent international degree) requirements except dissertation in a biological field or life sciences.Application Requirements
