When you wear or work with TOMS, you help fund access to mental health resources for the millions of people who need them.About the Role:The Accounts Receivable (AR) Manager serves as a resource for the Controller, Sales Team, and Customer Service Representatives (CSR’s) and identifies and analyzes workflow issues and recommends/implements measures for improvements. The AR Manager handles collection escalation issues before bringing them to the Controller, making recommendations and following up with credit collection agencies.The AR Manager will be responsible for monthly chargeback reports, monthly AR aging reports, and ad hoc reports as requested. Perform monthly reconciliation and analysis on customer accounts. Prepares monthly journal entries for bad debt reserve and chargebacks. Regarding chargeback management, the AR Manager is responsible for creating monthly reports for leadership, sets and holds meetings with various members of customer service, sales, and supply chain, engaging the team for timely resolution of chargebacks for customers. Initiating follow-up, write-offs, delegating and following up on credits memos with customer service. The AR Manager oversees a small AR team and engages and works with temporary personnel as needed.What You’ll Do:Participate in day-to-day accounting functions (domestic and international) including reviewing the credit block report, releasing credit worthy customers, collecting prepayments, cash application, and responding to customer and sales representative inquiries.Coordinate with sales, CSRs, and logistics departments to ship orders consistent with term limits and department policies. Interact with internal teams (sales, customer service, finance, IT) to address cross-functional needs and solve problems.Schedule/prepare monthly meetings/reports for chargeback/credit issues with the US Wholesale team. Research and code chargebacks, follow-up with customer service, supply chain, sales, and customers themselves.Run accounts receivable aging reports and resolve past due issues. Monitor customer account details for non-payment, chargebacks, delayed payments, and other irregularities. Deal with customers, credit blocks, collections; engaging salespeople where necessary.Train AR Staff on systems/AR concepts, manage and lead team members. Conduct daily/weekly follow-up, review of their work, escalate issues where necessary, and make recommendations for improvement of quality of work. Conduct bi-annual reviews. Train and manage any temp staff assigned to the team.Work with the finance team to support projects, ad hoc reports, and run monthly AR reports. Lead audits (financial, bank) with respect to AR detail and subledger information.Produce and manage all AR related finance reporting and audit requests.
