Are you a Financial Analyst looking to support the Department of Defense? If so, we have a Junior Financial Analyst opportunity for you!
As a Junior Financial Analyst You Will
Support and prepare forecasts, analysis, and reconciliation of finance, business conditions, and other related areas.
Work with a team of driven, supportive, and highly skilled professionals.

Work from home or in Government facilities in Northern Virginia. The employee must be located in the National Capital Region and able to attend meetings at the Pentagon within an hour’s notice.
A week in the life of a Junior Financial Analyst:
Review, update and report project financial performance including obligations, accruals and expenditures.
Learn and work in the Government’s Correspondence and Task Management System (CATMS) workflow system.
Interact with accounting on billing and revenue recognition.
Prepare project status reports, revenue and labor summaries, utilization ETC’s and purchase requisitions.
Build and maintain financial databases.
Update EAC monthly with actuals and updated ETC assumptions.
Track project burn rates, forecast expected project burn, and provide mitigation recommendations.
Ensure project setup is complete and accurate.
Analyze program variances.
Update and perform analysis on monthly project forecasts.
Provide monthly financial reporting, ad hoc analysis and scenario modeling.
Prepare reports on performance metrics.
Support financial audits.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s level degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or similar with 2 - 4 years of experience.
Have an active Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance (US Citizenship).

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $90,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
