Meanwhile, you'll have the support and resources of the fastest-growing brand in the construction industry to make it happen.Your Role on Our TeamAs a Sr. Platform Engineer – Advanced Manufacturing Technology, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and management of OT systems and IT technology specific to Manufacturing and Quality operations. These include the expansion and optimization of existing applications including Kepware, WinSPC, SQL Databases, OSI PI Historian, and Tulip. These software solutions are in different stages of global expansion and standardization. A key component of the role includes the ability to interface, communicate, and drive execution with internal business partners such as Quality and Manufacturing stakeholders, Engineering, and IT teams.You'll Be DISRUPTIVE Through These Duties And ResponsibilitiesPartner with Manufacturing and Quality/Reliability Engineering organizations to develop solutions through effective understanding of business and process requirements.Plan configuration of digital OT architecture and influence data strategy as technology evolves.Implement and support technical solutions related to MES and Historian systems.Staying abreast of the latest IT advancements and emerging technologies in industry and providing recommendations in support of Milwaukee Tool’s strategic goals.Resolve problems with OT data flow and applications.Provide consulting and guidance to end users to access or analyze data in useful ways.Produce documentation including process maps, data architecture maps, integration requirements, protocols/data specifications as needed.Build IT credibility by modeling professionalism, excellence, integrity, and passion.Managing technical deliverables for projects, contributing to project plan scope, and monitoring performance for timely completion.Create dashboards and data views to show real time information as required.Build relationships with business and IT partners on a global scale (US, Mexico, and Asia).Support the development of change management strategies and related documentation.Develop, influence, and support Industry 4.0 framework/strategy.Contribute and continuously improve a big-picture, multi-year OT data strategy.Serve as a subject matter expert for smart factory and connected operations.The TOOLS You'll Bring With YouBachelor's Degree in Information Management Systems, Computer Science, or Business Administration with an emphasis in technology.Minimum 8 years’ experience in an Information Technology field relevant to manufacturing operations.Understanding of core business processes such as Quality, Manufacturing, and Industry 4.0.Self-managed, self-starter, pro-active, and able to manage multiple concurrent activities with time constraints.Strong business engagement and professional written, verbal, analytical and interpersonal skills across all levels of an organization.Mastery of technological solutions according to the ISA-95 model.Experience with API integrations.Experience designing, developing, and implementing MES enhancements in addition to net-new deliveries according to functional requirements documents.Strong SQL skills.Experience with Tulip's Application Builder, including understanding how to design user interfaces, configure workflows, add widgets, set up data collection forms, and integrate with other systems.Understanding of industrial automation processes, including knowledge of various protocols used in the industry (such as OPC, Modbus, MQTT, etc.). Familiarity with SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems and PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) programming.Proficiency in configuring and administering Kepware servers and drivers, including setting up communication channels, configuring data tags, managing security settings, and monitoring server performance.Familiarity with the architecture of OSIsoft PI System, including components like PI Data Archive, PI Asset Framework (PI AF), PI Interfaces, PI Vision (formerly PI ProcessBook), and other modules.
