Senior Automation Tester - Herndon, VAWe have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Automation Tester with our industry-leading client in Herndon.We will accept corp to corp or W2 contractors. Participate as a team member of the testing organization.Develop automation test scripts for the exchange.Determine automation testing strategies and guide the work of less experienced team members.Communicate the status of potential issues and outstanding problems to project and quality assurance personnel.Perform quality control checks on software release candidates, determine resolution status, and authorize progression to the next testing phase.Requirements of the Senior Automation Tester:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.At least 7 years of experience in software application testing.At least 3 recent years of experience developing automation test scripts.Experience developing automation scripts in either Rational RFT or Selenium.Experience in developing automation test scripts with Object Oriented programming.Strong working experience in writing SQL using joins for data validation from various data sources.Ability to maintain and optimize databases for performance.Strong team building, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.Solid working experience in QA/Testing methodologies and software development life cycle.Experience working with query, configuration management, and defect tracking tools used throughout the testing team.Keywords:
